This Winchester Model 670A chambered in .30-06 Springfield is an older, straightforward bolt-action hunting rifle that's already set up with a scope and ready to head back into the woods this season.

It's used, and we're calling the condition fair. The wood stock shows plenty of honest hunting wear, scratches, finish loss, and handling marks. The metal also shows age and finish wear.

The rifle currently wears a mounted variable-power scope, leather sling, and a camouflage slip-on stock cover/recoil pad. The .30-06 Springfield has probably put more Pennsylvania deer in freezers than most cartridges will ever dream of.

This Winchester isn't winning a beauty contest. It has bumps, scratches, worn finish, and evidence that somebody actually took it hunting instead of talking about hunting on Facebook.

Personally, I like that.

It's an affordable, practical rifle for somebody who wants a used .30-06 hunting rifle with scope without spending a pile of money getting started.

As with any used scoped rifle, we recommend confirming the scope mounting and zeroing the rifle with your chosen hunting ammunition before heading into the woods.

Don't discover opening morning that Grandpa's zero was three inches left at 100 yards.
